The France-Israel Industrial R&D Cooperation Framework (FIRAD) is dedicated to the development of long term R&D collaboration between French and Israeli industries, in coherence with the economic strength of France, its technological position in the world, and with the special abilities of the Israeli technological industrial infrastructure and its international position.

Implementing the French-Israeli MOU on R&D cooperation, FIRAD is operated in Israel by MATIMOP on behalf of the Office of the Chief Scientist in the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor, and by OSEO in France.
The program is implemented in close collaboration with the EUREKA program for European cooperation in R&D and Innovation (www.eureka.be) in which both France and Israel are active members.

FIRAD's mission is to foster collaborative R&D links between French and Israeli science and technology organizations and to assist in the establishment of long term French - Israeli alliances based on technological cooperation.
Joint R&D or Technological cooperation projects, whose objectives are to develop and commercialize new, innovative, market driven products, processes, or services, and found to be eligible by the authorities, can benefit from the following assistance:
  • Access to public funding, provided by OCS (Office of the Chief Scientist of the Ministry of Industry & Trade and Labor, Israel) or by OSEO respectively.
  • Provision of information regarding the Program and its benefits.
  • Partner search both in Israel and in France.
  • Participation in the EUREKA program and acquisition of the EUREKA label.
